Frederik Hornung is a professional Freelance Comic Book Artist, Writer and Illustrator based in a small town near Aschaffenburg, Germany.
He specifies in Horror, Mystery and Science-Fiction cartooning.

Frederik has worked with BOOM! Studios as writer/artist (Hello Darkness) and contributed to multiple independent comic anthologies (Comics Are Dying, What We Leave Behind, Loreverse Presents ...) and comic projects (Griff Gristle, The Werewolf Lives!, Long Dark Winter, The Family Graves, Polar Destroyer).

His creator-owned web comic "Frederik Hornung's SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT" began online publication on his website as well as X and Instagram in early 2023, moving to monthly online publication in April 2024 through said channels. The physical edition of SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT released in November 2025.

In 2026, Frederik began publishing the creator-owned sci-fi webcomic strip STAR-GHOUL on his social media channels.

Beyond just creating comics, Frederik taught a Comic Illustration Workshop at a local middle school for students in 2022.
